Loose Minerals:
Loose minerals are the purest form of minerals available. They are talc-free, chemical-free, and dye-free. They are ideal for acne sufferers, as they provide complete coverage of blemishes while, at the same time, helping to heal and calm inflammation. These minerals can be used after recent plastic surgery and are the most hypoallergenic cosmetic on the market today. They hide skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, and spider veins, yet they feel utterly weightless!
Minerals, by virtue of being organic (from the earth) have a natural SFP close to 50. Monave’s loose minerals also have a high SPF factor, and are nearly waterproof. They could also be called “sport minerals” because they are great when used while doing any kind of sport, from paragliding to golf, and are ideal for men and women with very active lifestyles.
While these minerals are powder, they are not drying. They seal in moisture for those with dry skin, yet don’t clog pores for those with oily skin. They also won’t “break up” in response to oil, but remain flawless throughout the day.
The glow that skin receives from these minerals takes years off a man’s or woman’s face. Some people look so good they don’t recognize themselves!
Vegan Products:
Finding vegan products can be a frustrating endeavor. Many natural foods stores sell minerals that have carmine or beeswax in pressed blushes, lipsticks, and glosses. At Monave, they've made a concerted effort to remove animal by-products from their products. Currently, their lipstick base has been reformulated to be lanolin-free, and they now offer liquid glaze in 10 shades that does not contain beeswax. Brand new Lip Crayons that will soon be added to the line are fabulously silky and long-wearing and also contain no beeswax. Monave is a conscientious manufacturer and has never included carmine in their formulas.
Working toward a complete vegan line has led Monave to investigate the possibility of synthetic taklon brushes. They hope to be able to present these brushes some time in 2007. Per Monave’s standards, the brushes will be high-performance and perfectly tailored to their range of products, and, when they become available, we will have them on this site.
Monave’s complete line is mineral-based. That means that all of their ingredients come from rocks! What this means to a vegan consumer is that Monave’s complete line of minerals for the face, mineral blush, multi-purpose powder, mineral bronzers, setting powders, illuminzers, and matte shadows are vegan. This offers a wide range of products from which to choose, and the mineral powders can be mixed into a vegan lip gloss to create a colored lip gloss. They can also be mixed with the incredible, truly-unique water-based, odor-free, formaldehyde-free, phthalate-free clear nail polish described below to create a nail polish in your favorite color! Additionally, the shadows can be wetted and used as eyeliners.
The only Monave products not suitable for strictly vegan customers are: Cream-to-Powders, eyeliner & lip liner pencils (contain beeswax), and potted and liquid gloss (beeswax).

Nail Polish:
